The Challenge
The Brief and The Reality
The client needed to electrify their commercial vehicle fleet across 27 branches nationwide. Each site had different electrical infrastructure constraints, car park layouts, and operational requirements. Piecemeal appointments across multiple consultants would have created inconsistency, coordination risk, and no single point of accountability. There was no design standard in place to ensure the rollout worked consistently at every site.
The Outcome
How 360DS Approached It Differently
360DS delivered the full RIBA 0-7 commission across all 27 sites – from initial feasibility through to handover – providing the client with a single point of contact and a consistent design standard throughout. The specification used 22kW dual-socket charging pedestals, which allowed flexible car park arrangements, minimised the loss of parking bays, and doubled charging capacity per installed unit compared to single-socket alternatives.
Client Outcomes
What Changed For Them
Full fleet electrification delivered at scale.
27 branches nationwide electrified under a single commission - consistent design, consistent standard, single accountability.
Parking bay loss minimised.
Dual-socket 22kW pedestals maximised charging capacity per bay, protecting the car parking provision the client depended on operationally.
Charging capacity doubled per installed unit.
Dual-socket specification means every pedestal serves two vehicles simultaneously - far greater return on infrastructure investment than single-socket alternatives.
Full RIBA 0-7 delivery.
Concept to handover under one team - eliminating the handover gaps and coordination risk that multi-firm appointments create on complex multi-site programmes.
